The Very Last Ladybug War

The Very Last Ladybug War

ISBN: 0-9681414-4-7

By Angela K. Narth
Illustrated by Heidi Vincent

A wonderful adventure about peace and acceptance, as a little ladybug heroine brings an end to all ladybug wars in a most unusual way! Adalia Ladybug shows that by looking beyond the different 'spots' they see, ladybugs are really alike in many ways.

MORE ABOUT THIS BOOK

Almost from the time she was hatched Adalia ladybug had a glowing smile on her face. She was such a gentle little ladybug beetle, always friendly to everyone and bubbling with happiness.

Every spring, Adalia's joyful smile would disappear and she hardly spoke at all. It was at this time of year that all of the ladybugs would meet in the strawberry patch to fight over which colony would have the most aphids. This made Adalia feel very sad as she wished that all ladybugs would live together peacefully.

Determined to stop all wars, forever more, little Adalia found a very clever way to unite all ladybugs, by helping them to see that despite their differences, they were all connected and alike in many ways.

REVIEWS & ENDORSEMENTS

Adalia Ladybug "Angela Narth has done it again! The Very Last Ladybug War is as endearing and as well written as her previous book, Simon with Two Left Feet. This story conveys a gentle, subtle message and is presented with a charm that children will understand. The illustrations by Heidi Vincent are the perfect compliment to the text."

Adalia and Tata "A timely tale, given the state of the world, that promotes peace over war, similarities over differences. Young children will 'spot' the meaning of ... kindness and understanding.

A wonderful idea ... to use ladybugs to teach us about war and peace.
